A Landmark Day

August 7, 2010

Today was a landmark day.  Seriously.  We invited one of Shane’s buddies over and celebrated Shane’s new interest:  LANDMARKS.

Shane and his friend put together a landmark puzzle.

One piece was missing, but no one seemed to mind.

We read a book about man-made landmark structures both ancient and modern throughout the world.  Then we each acted out a landmark for everyone to guess.

Eric was the EPCOT ball

Shane made himself into the Gateway Arch (St. Louis, MO)

The Statue of Liberty

Then we made our own landmarks out of marshmallows and dry spaghetti.  Eric ate most of his building materials.

The proud builders and architects

Then, since we couldn’t not take advantage of all those marshmallows, we made s’mores.

Landmarks were never so yummy!

There are Graduations, your Wedding Day, the Births Your Children, and then there is a true Landmark Day.  This was it.
