How to Bake an Apple Pie

October 11, 2009

Inspired by How to Bake an Apple Pie and See the World, by Marjorie Priceman.

1 working vehicle to drive to Publix
1 shopping cart
1 charge card

One "from-scratch" pie crust (shhh....I won't tell if you won't.)
Presto!  One “from-scratch” pie crust.  (shhh….I won’t tell if you won’t.)

Next, find one little green-eyed boy with an apron full of apples.

…………………

Ask if he will help wash the apples.  He will probably say yes, although his idea of proper washing will likely be different than yours.

You are the grown-up, so you will peel the apples…

Peel the apples...

Do not let the little boy have the camera, or he may take unflattering pictures of you.

Mix all the ingredients together.

Pop the pie in the oven.  Make a mental note to clean the oven and replace the light.  Shake your head as you realize that honestly, this is not going to happen.

Wonder if maybe, just for tonight, you should have dessert first.
